Oh I loved both those books. I do love weddings. Last month I went to a birthday party, and it turned out to be a surprise wedding. The bride wore a red lace sheath dress and we all dressed up for cocktails, not knowing it was a wedding. There are so many photos of us all looking surprised and making faces and crying with joy. It was my first surprise wedding. The groom proposed at the top of the Sacre-Cœur in Paris eighteen months ago and they kept the secret all that time!!!

2Paw, what a wonderful story!! I don't think I've ever heard of a surprise wedding, but I love the idea. I have a terrible feeling it might have to find its way into a book some time. Thanks so much for sharing.

Surprise wedding are all the go with young people. We are all quite the opposite of young! People turn up to a party or an engagement to find it is a wedding. My second cousin did that, she’s in her early twenties,a don my aunt will never forgive her. She had bought a special outfit to wear to her granddaughter’s wedding, and instead found herself wearing slacks and a top! Oh the horror!!
