that tea cup...

I love drinking tea at any time of day, and the only thing that makes it better is drinking from a lovely tea cup.
My current favourite is the range by Robert Gordon of Australia. I have several pieces in his Alice range, including the teapot and milk jug. I love the nostalgic look of these pieces (although they actually feel quite substantial and modern) and I adore the pink inside, which makes me think of a sea shell.

It's a lovely cup and extra special with the colour and flowers inside. I have to check cups are right: some are for soup or cocoa and others are only be for tea!!!

I'll throw caution to the wind and be brutally honest.

I drink tea out of a mug. I call it a cup, but it's still a mug. I know that's probably horrible, but please be gentle with me because I was raised in the American midwest, where I still live, and where tea, quite often, is that *other* hot drink--after coffee and hot chocolate.

Your lovely tea cup has silently chastised me, though. I'll dig through the china cabinet today for a pretty cup and saucer so I can have proper tea. (Or at least *more* proper.)

Oh, well, if we're being brutally honest... I should confess that I OFTEN drink tea out of a mug. So no, not horrible, Magdalena.
I was given two of these beautiful tea cups with saucers for Christmas, however, and I just love them, and use them often because ... well... they're just so pretty.
I have a Robert Gordon mug at Tarzali...
But I do understand, 2paw, that some cups/ mugs seem better for soup or cocoa or coffee.
