Three sisters...

My sister, Marg, has already posted this on Facebook, so I thought I may as well add it here. Ahh... those days of innocence. Barb (10) Marg (6) Liz (8). And we were all wearing dresses our mum made. She sewed all our clothes.

How lovely, I had a hair cut like Liz!!You all look very happy and what beautiful dresses. My mum sewed for us too, she hated sewing, but we didn't have a lot of money so she saved a lot by sewing our school uniforms. She is a good knitter so we always had snuggly warm cardis and jumpers.

I'm not sure how much my mum liked sewing, but she made some lovely dresses over the years. My aunt was the beautiful knitter -- her baby clothes were exquisite.
I was the least gifted at sewing and knitting in my family, but I did OK and quite enjoyed it, until I became a ballet mother. Those costumes were a matter of blood, sweat and tears.
2paw, I can imagine how much you needed snuggly warm woollens in Tassie.
